Manipulatives are a natural, effective way for students to sequence sentences. Students put the title card first and then arrange the 7 sentences in sequential order. Manipulatives allow students to keep rearranging until a story makes sense. The activities build comprehension skills and provide worthwhile reading exercises. The 30 sets in Sentence Sequencing B are informational text about events and people. Topics are interesting and suitable for third grade through adult. Manipulatives build key comprehension skills by providing extensive practice using structured reading selections followed by activities that check comprehension. The manipulatives are ideal for fostering the cooperative learning that is so valuable for advancing viable text comprehension strategies. PDF pages are designed to be printed on 8.5 x 11 inch sheets. Two stories are on each page (12 pages total, plus 4 pages of answer keys). Cover-weight paper in a variety of colors is available at office supply stores or online. Lamination is recommended if you want your materials to last. All Reading Manipulatives pieces have a code that is used for maintaining set integrity and student recordkeeping. Checklists are provided for tracking the materials that have been completed. Put student sets in zipper bags. Answer keys can be kept in the bags or stored separately.
